Business Planning

Who needs a business plan?

Business plans are essential for growth and development.

Many people think business plans are for start-up businesses or for when you are applying for a business loan. This is not the case at all.

The truth is that business planning offers serious benefits for everybody in business. None of these benefits requires a big formal business plan document. A lean business plan is usually enough. It takes an hour or two to do the first plan, then just an hour or two to review and revise monthly. Reviewing and keeping up to date with your plan is so important. It is a continuous process for everyone.

You have already completed the ‘Feeling Inspired’ masterclass as part of the program. We will use the results from your questions on ‘Evaluating your business’ and use them in order to create a plan. So, the planning is not as daunting as you may have originally thought.

Ok, all of the questions you answered no to, are going to help us formulate a plan and then we are going to work out the order of what we are going to do.

The No’s will create the 12-month plan and then we need to break that down into quarterly plans to make sure we can keep on top of things and it doesn’t become overwhelming. This is why the No’s are so important.

Before we start making a plan, let’s take a look at the benefits of your planning and why it is so important.
